It was really just more of an arroyo…
The original plan for Irvine’s Great Park approved by Larry Agran puppet Sukhee Kang, actually called for a vast, man-made canyon! Hard to believe, but true. You see, the world was Agran’s oyster, and like God on the Third Day he believed he could do anything he wanted. But faith in their own poor ability wasn’t going to get any mountains moved by Agran & Co.
Like the rest of the grandiose scheme Sukhee and his pals tried to sell to the public, the canyon never came to be.
Wide and deep…
In the end there was a big hole, all right, although it’s more of a figurative one – a fiscal abyss. Sukhee and his gang spent over $200,000,000 with nothing to show for it except a dirty orange balloon that seems to be perpetually “closed for repairs.” Where did all that money go? I don’t know. Let’s ask Sukhee.
Still, the image above is a nice encapsulation of Sukhee’s eight year career on the Irvine City Council and serves as a warning to the people of the 29th State Senate District where a carpetbagging Sukhee has showed up to run for office.

You are so wrong about this. The Great Park Plan worked splendidly. All that no-bid, fixed fee money to Forde Mollrich and the Gafcon outfit – political supporters of Larry Agran’s gang of thieves.
What a set up, and NO accountability. Is anybody in jail? Of course not. Victory Agran and Sukhee!

Ahh “Larry’s Canyon”, or as we referred to it at council meetings….just a big ditch that allowed Gafcon to further inflate their invoices to the city. Of course Sukhee never questioned any this malfeasance while he was in office. He was just happy to ride on Larry’s coattails during election time which Larry allowed as long as Sukhee went along with everything.

You should know that Sukhee Kang has managed to reach a new low about the respecting first amendment. He does not appreciate the first amendment at all. On his YouTube channel for his campaign https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpq45Rr9ywgyY-qWVyJC3EQ, I left a comment couple of weeks ago mentioning about his record in Irvine and he deleted and disabled the comments in most of his videos about his endorsements. Looks like Suckhee does not want the voters to know the truth about his record about the Great Park and the $16 iShuttle subsidy.

BTW this ditch, errrr canyon was completely unworkable according to numerous civil engineering studies done, but Sukhee kept the gravy train rolling for Gafcon and Forde & Mollrich.

The ditch was an environmental disaster waiting to happen – violating every tenant of ecosystem management. Plus El Toro is basically flat meaning that water collecting in the fake canyon HAD NO PLACE TO GO. It would have to be pumped out into the storm drain system or recirculated. Only a FIRST CLASS IDIOT would ever have gone along with this. Sukhee should have stuck to selling shoes and stereos.

Good observations. You know, I think I’m going to have to expand upon the Big Hole with another post. That idea was so hare-brained that anyone associated with it needs to be severely pilloried. And I can’t think of anyone who deserves it more than Sukhee Kang, given that he wants to be our State Senator in north OC.

The advocates of this boondoggle will never get elected to anything, anywhere, well except for maybe county dog catcher. And even then, most dog catchers are surely smarter than the hair-brain trio who went along with the freaking Canyon Concept.
