Last month the Democratic Foundation of OC held a luncheon for our old carpetbaggin’ pal at the Irvine Hilton. This group of worthies seems to find nothing stinky about honoring a carpetbagger with a disastrous record. Maybe being a Democrat in OC raises the disgraced politician above that disgrace – at least in the minds of the party hacks.
I don’t know.
But I do know that almost nobody showed up, unless we are really seeing local Dems dressed up like empty chairs and uneaten plates of salad.
They stayed away in droves.
Who knows? Maybe there’s hope for the Democrats yet, although their leaders don’t seem to be getting the message.

No matter how much fundraising, events, luncheon, and endorsements Kang gets, this is not going to help his campaign succeed. I really don’t think he is going to make past the Primary or the General Election in a competitive race against Chang. This image tells me that not everyone outside of Irvine know who Kang is.

I’m Mexican who is a middle of the road Democrat and I will not tolerate Sukhee Kang’s racism towards our fellow white friends and he must be stopped thanks a lot to the previous post mentioning about Kang’s racist remark towards our former governor because of his accent and yet, Sukhee’s racist past has been exposed from the state media’s attempt to bury this article thanks a lot to Internet Archive wayback machine! We know that Kang’s racism is not comparable to Trump’s harsh rhetoric towards Latinos and Muslims. I am also not a big fan of Hillary Clinton either due to her email scandal and responsibility of the Benghazi terrorist attacks back in 2012, she just lost my vote and I would be voting a independent candidate this year. Because of this year’s presidential elections, racism has been a top issue facing my community and idiots like Trump and Sukhee needs to be stopped! Kang is a immigrant too so he should be ashamed of himself but anyways, his racism has no place in my district!

I couldn’t agree more my friend. Sukhee Kang doesn’t even live in our district for that long and he expects himself to know about the issues facing our community in North Orange County? Those are the reasons why Sukhee Kang is un-electable no matter how much funds and supports he receives. Let’s vote for a candidate who actually lives in the district and not a underdog like Sukhee Kang who escaped from Irvine which is not in my district.

The candidate that I would support that actually lives in my district is State Assemblywoman Chang who is my first choice. Josh Newman is kind of a underdog but lives in my district. He can emerge from a underdog to victory by beating Sukhee Kang in the primary if he steps up his efforts in fundraising and campaigning. To me, jobs are my biggest concern facing the community not immigration like my fellow people care about so I am looking for the candidate who has the best fiscal responsibility for my community. Kang is not fiscally conservative and like the commenters mentioned here, he actually funneled Irvine taxpayers $200 million to his political cronies instead of building the stupid park. You tell me, how is he fiscally conservative when he is conservative with the money inside his wallet?

Ling Ling Chang is a disreputable candidate as well. She just won a seat to represent us in the Assembly no more than a few months before announcing her bid for the Senate. What is that all about? Pathetic as Suhkee. Campaigned up and down the district telling people how much she wanted to represent them in the Assembly and 4 months later announces she is ditching that position and running for State Senate.
Can she please do her job first? Thanks. The job we elected her to do. Ling Ling is as Irresponsible as they come. The GOP crooked their little finger at her and she fell for it lock, stock, and barrel.
Do you your homework, Stanton Dem. Both parties are guilty of self-interest motives at OUR expense.

Anaheim Dem, I agree with your opinion of Chang. The GOP has handpicked Chang because of Kang who is Asian since both parties assume that Asian candidates would cross party and vote one of their own. Since the my party recruited a carpetbagger, the GOP goes around finding a candidate to challenge Kang and hey, “We have found a Asian Candidate”. I will consider rethinking about choosing the candidate for my district but best of luck to Josh Newman. I will look into his issues and stances and I would vote against Chang and Sukhee Kang in the primary. Hope he emerges from a underdog to victory by defeating Kang at least in the primary and maybe compete against Chang in the general. Same with Hispanics in the presidential elections which the GOP has recruited Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio for example. The GOP assumes that we Hispanics will cross party lines and vote one of our own. The main thing about elections is not ethnicity, it is about issues like the economy.

You have proven that both parties are guilty of choosing a Asian candidate to pander the vote. We know that we can’t choose the carpetbagger from Irvine and Ling Ling Chang has just represented the 55th Assembly district for a few months until my party (The GOP) has recruited Chang to run against a carpetbagger. By the way, I support neither candidates for state senator and I don’t know about Josh Newman or his stances yet.

You make a point right here. Elections is not about race and I should add party loyalty. Elections is about issues regardless of political stances and party affiliations. You have pointed out about Republican front-runner Donald Trump. He is nothing but alienating minority voters and I don’t think he deserves my vote either (By the way, I’m Chinese. Not White) but I will not vote for a pro-Amnesty and Anti-Second Amendment candidate Hillary Clinton. I would look for a third party candidate to vote against Trump in the general.

Carpetbagger, we will cross that bridge when we get there.
For now, we are focusing on spreading the word on Kang’s disasterous record in Irvine and his inability to lead effectively and getting the message out there that Newman is the best candidate of the three.
Regardless of the outcome in June, Kang will not receive my support. It’s about integrity. Kang has none.

Did you inform your friends, family, or neighbors you know around the 29th district yet? The time should be now. Anyone who would like to make and put up yard signs saying NO KANG IRVINE CARPETBAGGER would be fine. Also make fliers which contains Kang’s negative record such as wasting $200 instead of building the park, the $16 iShuttle bus subsidy, and being a perpetual candidate for example. What I see about Kang being a perpetual candidate is he was tried to ran for several offices in the past 4 to 5 years which include running for congress in 2012, a comeback to city council which he withdrew earlier, and now state senate which Kang is just as comparable as Harry Sidhu (Also a carpetbagger and perpetual candidate).

Good my friend! Spread the truth about Sukhee Kang like fire so voters can vote against him so his scampaign can sink. We can’t stop Kang alone. Looks like Kang has rewrote his candidate filling statement on ocvote. Looks like he is lying to the voters here that he actually lives in Fullerton by removing Former Irvine Mayor on his filling statement. Previous stated: Former Irvine Mayor or city council. I attended an event this week where Suhkee was invited to speak. A fresh cool Suhkee showed up, waved his fist in the air and declared to a room full of Democrats that he was the endorsed Democratic candidate and continued on to mumble something uninspiring.
Psssst, Suhkee, we know you and your team of ne’er–do–wells are listening.
Just wanted to let you know that here in Anaheim we are avid listeners, too. We are all ears, buddy. Bring us to our knees. You are pathetic, Kang, and not even carting around that sexy little lady standing next to you will change that.

At the event you attended, what else did Sukey mumble about? Is it talking about the Great Park or lying to the guests for example? Did you talk to anyone attending the event about Kang’s disastrous record back when he was mayor in Irvine?

He was very difficult to understand. He actually did mumble quite a bit. Went on and on about being the endorsed Democrat candidate. Than he reminded the audience of all of his endorsements, apparently he has picked up a few more…
I’m still not sure what this guy is running on. He only ever seems to speak of his many endorsements. Not a single mention of his accomplishments. Perhaps because he has none?
Sadly, those that were there seemed to have drank the Suhkee Kool-Aid. No chance to speak against him at this particular event however, I attended other events last month where I was able to educate people of the Great Park fiasco.
Most people seem to be unaware of who Kang is or his record.
